SWERVE N CURVE #9 RALLY
"NINE LIVES"
August 22-24, 2008
FRIDAY, AUGUST 22: 7:30PM: Meet 'n' greet at Kilkenny's Irish Pub, 100 H Fisherman's Wharf, Redondo Beach, CA 90277 (on the famous Redondo Beach Pier). Early comers can buy rally packs and raffle tickets here. 9PM: Night time Beach Ride #1; we will take a quick ride along the South Bay beaches, then come back to the original bar where we took off from, to hook up with the stragglers and scooterists who were too drunk or too late to ride with us. If you would like to stay in the area to be able to make the next day’s ride, click here for a list of possible accomodations near the rally.
SATURDAY, AUGUST 23: 11AM: Meet at Claim Jumper restaurant in Torrance (corner of Crenshaw & Lomita Blvd.'s). Click here for map. Be sure to get your RIDE MAP for the day's ride, which will be handed out here. You can also get rally packs and raffle tickets here. (If you're coming from the North: Meet at Cock N Bull Pub, at 2947 Lincoln Blvd., Santa Monica, CA 90405, at 9:30am; ride leaves at 10:30AM for Claim Jumper's) 12noon: Ride leaves for the famous South Bay Swerve 'N' Curve route around Palos Verdes. We will end the ride at Paddy-O's Pub, 20320 S. Western Ave., Torrance, CA 90501. DJ's and food will be set-up for everyone's listening and dining pleasure. Rally packs and raffle tickets will be available here, as well. Evening ride/festivities: 9PM: Ride leaves for Night time Beach Ride #2, the popular Venice Canals Ride from last year's Swerve N Curve. 10PM: Arrive at Cock N Bull Pub. Marv Mack & Soulside Productions presents "SWERVE 'N' SKA" Raffle tickets and rally packs will be available here If you would like to stay in the area to be able to make the next day’s ride, click here for a list of possible accomodations near the rally.
SUNDAY, AUGUST 24: 11AM: Meet at Cock N Bull Pub, 2947 Lincoln Blvd., Santa Monica, CA 90405. Be sure to get your RIDE MAP for the day's ride, which will be handed out here. If there are any left, rally packs will be available for sale here, as well as raffle tickets. 12noon: Ride leaves for cruise along the beaches in the South Bay. We will be ending the ride at Keegan's Pub in Torrance, 1434 Marcellina Ave., Torrance, CA 90501, (310) 328-3750. End of Rally Itinerary is subject to change, so please keep checking the South Bay & Westside websites.
Please note: all rides during Swerve N Curve are open to all makes and models of scooters.
All we ask is that you try to keep up with the main body of scooters & try to follow our normal ride rules.
8PM: Meet at Cock N Bull Pub for Night time Beach Ride #2, sponsored by the Westside SC. 2947 Lincoln Blvd. (cross street Ashland), Santa Monica, CA 90405, (310) 399-9696. Unlike previously indicated, this ride is open to all scooter makes and models.
