Hurricane Relief Ride
On October 1, 2005, the VESPA CLUB of LOS ANGELES sponsored a Charity Relief Ride for victims of the Gulf Coast Hurricanes of 2005. This was done in association with the South Bay Scooter Club, the Westside Scooter Club, the Reflections Scooter Society, the OC Riders and Lawless Street Records. The ride started in Long Beach at 2PM, went up the coast to Santa Monica (making a stop in at the Cock 'N' Bull Pub) and through the Hollywood Hills, stopping again at Kung Pao Kitty in Hollywood, then continuing and arriving at Zen Sushi restaurant in L.A. at 9PM. Good times and a raffle ensured a nice event wrap-up for a good cause! Special thanks goes out to NoHo Scooters, Vespa Sherman Oaks, Dancing Mood and Lawless Street Records for the raffle prizes!! Half of the raffle donations went to the American Red Cross, while the other half went to Scooter-Relief.org.
